HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN, DEMAND A VOTE ON *ENDA* NOW....SAY NO TO WORKPLACE DISCRIMINATION...SYLVIA LYDIA MORELOS...10/30/14...11:03 a.m.

Stop Discrimination

Demand a vote on ENDA now

After two decades of campaigning, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) has finally passed through the Senate for the first time in history.
But House Republican leaders are not bringing the bill up for a vote, thereby standing in the way of progress on ending workplace discrimination.
Send a message to Congress now: tell them to push for a House vote on ENDA.

Letter:

ENDA must move forward
Dear [Member of Congress],
A core American principle is that workers should be judged based on their ability to do the job and their performance. Last fall, the United States Senate, on a bipartisan basis endorsed that fundamental principle by passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

As a supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, and as part of the nearly 80% of fair-minded Americans who support workplace protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, I strongly urge you to take action now to pass ENDA in the House.

Ten Republicans stood on the right side of history by backing this legislation in the Senate, and it's time for members of the House of Representatives to do the same.

ENDA will offer simple workplace protections to millions all across the country so that you can't be fired or barred from employment because of who you are or who you love.

Your support of this crucial legislation means so much to me and the majority of Americans who believe in workplace equality.

Please help make our country stronger, fairer, and more competitive by pushing for a House vote on ENDA this year.
Sincerely,
