My husband and I are often left scratching our heads as to why the author chose a particular verse instead of one that would correlate much better with the lesson. Very odd. Helpful? While the devotions are Bible based, they are not for kids. Basically it appears that adult devotions were written or compiled and placed into a book with a kids cover and pages. Our daughter has struggled with the difficulty of pronouncing some of the words, has had a hard time explaining what the story is about and has not been able to apply it to her daily life. Helpful?
